The Westin Kuala Lumpur is pleased to announce the appointment of Alfredo Hernandez as Patron for Qba The appointment marks a welcome return for Alfredo to this award winning Latin bar and grill. As the first restaurant manager at Qba, he established the venue as an icon of South American entertainment in Kuala Lumpur in 2003, laying the foundations for what continues to be one of the city’s most dynamic eateries.
A proud native of Havana, Cuba, Alfredo brings a wealth of experience gained during a varied, well-travelled career spanning the Middle East and Southeast Asia, including many years as an innovator in the Kuala Lumpur restaurant scene. He has been instrumental in establishing the iconic Trader Vic’s restaurant brand in premium hotels worldwide including in Bangkok, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Cairo. In addition he has held senior F&B management roles at various international brand hotels in Muscat, Amman and Bahrain.
A fluent communicator in Spanish and English, he has undertaken a range of specialist skills training throughout his career. He returns to Qba, intent on creating a new chapter for this celebrated entertainment hotspot.
